The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has recently introduced the electronic system of acquiring a visa. The law was issued on August 14, 2020. Under this new system, the citizens of only 45 countries, including South Africa, Philippines and India, can avail the electronic visa. Travelers opting for an electronic visa will no longer have to visit the Embassy or deal with tons of paperwork. They only have to fill the application online, upload the required documents and ultimately pay the visa fee. After processing the application form, the approved visa will be emailed to the applicants, thus making the whole process convenient and simple.

What is a Ukraine eVisa?
A Ukraine eVisa is a very important travel document that every traveller must acquire if they are planning to visit the country. This is a legal document which will permit a visitor to visit Ukraine as well as travel within its territory. This new system was introduced to make it easier for the traveller to obtain their travel permit without the need to visit an Embassy or a consular post.
How to Apply For The eVisa To Ukraine?
The complete process of applying for an eVisa can be carried out online in just 3 simple steps. These are;Get Registered: Applicants are first and foremost required to get themselves registered on the MFA web platform. Once registered, the applicants are required to fill out their application form with accurate information.
Upload Documents: Applicants must scan the required documents and upload them with their application form.Make Payment: Lastly, the applicants are required to make the payment using a valid credit card or a debit card.
After the application form is processed, the approved eVisa will be mailed to the applicant's email id. They are required to download it and get a printout.
Instruction For Visitors Applying for an eVisa to Ukraine?
The following countries are eligible to get visa electronically. These countries are - Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Bhutan, Cambodia, China (except for August 1, 2020, through January 31, 2021), Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Fiji, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kiribati, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nauru, Nepal, Nicaragua, Palau, Peru, Philippines, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Suriname, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Vanuatu. The Ukraine government allows the citizens of the following countries to enter Ukraine visa-free. These countries are - Australia, New Zealand, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. However, travellers from these countries can stay for 90 days over a period of 180 days.
A temporary visa-free regime is allowed for citizens of China for tourism purpose.
