A 90 days eVisa is available for entry to Kenya as a Single-entry, Transit, or Courtesy visa. Purpose of visit in Kenya can be for business, tourism, or medical reasons. The requirements include an onward ticket, at least one blank page in the applicant's passport with at least six months validity. A steady internet connection and a smartphone or a laptop is enough for you to apply for a visa to Kenya. There are 3 simple steps that you need to follow to apply online for a Kenya visa:
Create an Account: The first step in the process of obtaining your eVisa is, creating an account. You need to go on the government website and create an account. Through this account, you will be able to carry out all correspondence related to the visa, know about its status and receive your visa.
Apply For the Visa and Pay: Once you have created your account, you are required to fill up the application form. Fill in all the information correctly and clearly. After you are done with filling the form you must upload documents such as your photo, proof of accommodation, last page of your passport, a scan of the personal detail of your passport and airline confirmation of your tickets. Next, you will be required to pay the visa fee.
Download the eVisa PDF: After your application form is processed, you will receive your eVisa on the account that you have created. The eVisa will be in a PDF form, which you will need to download and get printed, to present to the immigration authorities, when you arrive in Kenya.
Instructions for Applicants Applying for an eVisa to Kenya
Each adult will need an individual passport to visit Kenya. Applicants below the age of 16 years do not have to apply for a visa. They will only need to present their valid transport documents at the entry point of the airport.
